We are Red Fox Films.

We create sincere and conceptual stories about some pretty wonderful people.

Specifically, we communicate the authentic spirit of our clients’ messages through video, from the original distilled idea through to the final flourish. We work with interesting folk who have stories to tell, be they brands, musicians, creatives, agencies or independents.

We are ideas people, design people, and branding people. That means that our films hit the brief whichever way you look at them—conceptually, visually, and strategically. Simply put, we’re the whole kit and caboodle under the one roof.

We like films that make us feel. The ones that spark that ember of emotion, of shared experience, of connection. A common story told and understood through our lens. We think that’s pretty nifty, and our clients tend to agree.

We’ll throw everything we’ve got at projects of all sizes. While we’re known for our work across business, education and the arts, our driving passion is to tell stories from all walks of life.

We are Red Fox Films, and welcome to our collection of work

Emma McGavisk

Emma is one half of the Red Fox Films creative collective. A natural born storyteller, she’s able to intuitively dictate rhythm, style, aesthetic and culture throughout our work. She’s also the dotter of ‘i’s, the crosser of ’t’s, and the one continually raising the bar of our work.

Her film career thus far spans TVCs, corporate videos, documentaries, short films, and music videos, and she’s dabbled in projects funded by big names like the South Australian Film Corporation, Screen Australia, and SBS. To add one more feather to her cap, the folks over at AADC also tend to think her work is pretty swell. Her project titled ‘My Story’, a collaboration with Insider Foundry and Porter Novelli, won the award for Digital Content.

When she’s not collaborating, creating or cutting, you’ll find Emma kicking back and enjoying her downtime, either by appreciating the industry from a viewer’s perspective (read: binge watching TV with her cat), or out trotting the globe.

David Tang

It’s no secret that David knows his way around a camera. The other half of the Red Fox Films duo, he brings his technical know-how and logistical prowess to the business. He also takes the reins when it comes to articulating ideas and realising visual concepts through the camera.

With a suite of qualifications from Flinders University and Australian Film, Television and Radio School under his belt, David has enjoyed a comprehensive freelance career working on productions including music videos, TVCs, feature films, and TV series. His hard work has not gone unrecognised, taking out two Gold Award's at the local Australian Cinematography Society Awards. His cinematography work on the web promo ’Osteria Oggi’ took out one of the top spots in the Advertising, National/International category.

When he’s not behind a camera, David is an avid sci-fi reader and 90s sitcom watcher. So, reference with caution; you just might end up in a heated quote-off.
